University Library Rijeka
The Rijeka University Library was founded in 1948 as the Scientific Library of Rijeka, albeit its roots go back to the Jesuit College founded in Rijeka in 1627. The Library became a member of the University of Rijeka in 1979.

The library provides services to researchers, teachers and students within the region. In addition to heritage collections and official deposit copies, it stores all publications printed by the University of Rijeka including University textbooks as well as doctoral dissertations.
Its current location is Dolac Street 1, Rijeka.

The University Library’s current holdings include:
  • Heritage collections (100.000 units)
  • Official deposit copies published in the Republic of Croatia since 1949: books, periodicals, non-book materials (300.000 units)
  • University textbooks
  • Doctoral dissertations accepted by the University of Rijeka
  • Publications by the University of Rijeka
  • Online magazines (16.000 titles).

Along with the usual library services the University Library provides additional benefits such as night study sessions. Within the framework of this service “From 8 PM to 2 AM” during the week (Monday through Friday) working hours of the Study Hall on the first floor have been prolonged from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
